A prestigious private school in California is now at the center of national outrage after a white elementary school teacher forcibly shaved a young Black girl’s hair — claiming it was “just for fun” — without realizing that the child’s father is none other than boxing legend Mike Tyson.

The incident, which occurred at Westbridge Academy in Santa Monica, has left parents, civil rights groups, and the Tyson family demanding immediate accountability. The teacher, identified as Ms. Linda Parker, is currently under investigation after multiple students and staff witnessed her shocking act.

According to reports, the 9-year-old girl — whose identity is being protected due to her age — had been teased by Parker for weeks about her natural hair.
