Patrick Mahomes Announces “I’m Done!” After Wife Brittany’s Third Pregnancy—Is the Family Expansion Over?
In a lighthearted moment during a training camp press conference, Patrick Mahomes made it clear that he and his wife, Brittany, have no plans for further family expansion, even as they joyfully prepare to welcome their third child.
The Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback, who already shares two young children with Brittany, responded to questions about balancing fatherhood with his demanding football career. “I’m done. I’ll say that,” Mahomes laughed, putting to rest any rumors or speculation about adding more members to their growing family. “I said three and I’m done,” he joked, with reporters chuckling at the remark.
Mahomes went on to express just how fulfilling fatherhood has been for him. “Fatherhood is awesome,” he said with a smile. “I always wanted to have kids young.”
The 28-year-old QB shared that growing up in a sports environment, surrounded by teammates and their families, left a lasting impression on him, fueling his desire to start his own family early in life. “I got to grow up in the locker room. I think I’ve talked about it before – it made such an impact on my life, so I wanted to have kids young.”

The announcement of their third pregnancy came on July 12, when the couple shared a heartwarming video on Instagram. The family, dressed in white, proudly revealed an ultrasound image while their two children, daughter Sterling Skye, 3, and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, 18 months, playfully celebrated the news. The caption read: “Round three, here we come!” It’s clear that the Mahomes kids are thrilled about becoming big siblings once again.
While balancing a high-profile football career and family life can be challenging, Patrick was full of praise for Brittany, who is also a busy entrepreneur and model. “Brittany does a great job managing motherhood and our relationship,” he said, acknowledging her efforts in raising their young children while supporting him through his football career. “We still go out and enjoy our life and let our kids see these great things,” Patrick added, reflecting on how important it is to make the most of their family time. “Whenever I’m with my family, I wanna enjoy those moments.”
When the football season isn’t in full swing, the Mahomes family takes full advantage of their time off, often traveling to various destinations around the world. This offseason, the family explored Europe, visiting countries like Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, and England. They even made stops at iconic events, including a Morgan Wallen concert in Hyde Park, London, and Wimbledon, where they caught a glimpse of some world-class tennis.
So, while the Mahomes family is expanding with the arrival of their third child, it seems that Patrick’s joking declaration of being “done” is firm. With a loving, growing family and a successful career, the Mahomes family is clearly thriving, and it’s evident that they are more than ready to take on this next chapter of their journey together.
