Brittany Mahomes really felt the US Open fever, so much so that it even inspired her to give a new nickname to her husband, Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes.
For those who missed it, Brittany attended the US Open final between USA’s Taylor Fritz and Italy’s Jannik Sinner on Sunday, September 8. She was with her husband, as well as Chiefs star Travis Kelce and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
The Mahomes couple took some photos during the event, which Brittany shared on Monday. Interestingly, the soon-to-be mom of three wrote a tennis-inspired caption that also reflected her new nickname for the Chiefs QB.
“My Honey Deuce,” Brittany wrote.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (15) and his wife Brittany Mahomes walk off the field after winning Super Bowl LVIII.
Sure enough, the post quickly went viral, receiving over 50,000 likes in less than an hour after Brittany posted it. Several fans loved the sweet moment between the husband-and-wife, while others reacted to Brittany’s nickname for Mahomes.
“I’ll take a honey deuce hold everything but the lemonaid,” a fan said. Another commenter wrote, “The caption!!!!
A social media user added, “Cutest people ever.” A fourth supporter echoed the same sentiment, “You two are such an adorable couple. You are the real deal!”
Brittany Mahomes has found herself in the middle of controversy recently after she and Taylor Swift were seen sitting away from each other during the Chiefs’ Week 1 game against the Baltimore Ravens. Brittany and Taylor have since shown that there’s no beef between them and that they remain friends contrary to the rumors going around.
Clearly, the Mahomeses are unbothered by all the issues and are living their best life.
