Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes Could Make History vs. Bengals
ansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has the potential to break multiple records against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
The Kansas City Chiefs are set for another early-season test in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is also set to own even more quarterback records after becoming the Chiefs’ all-time passing leader in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens.
On Sunday, Mahomes will be making his 98th career start in the NFL and is extremely close to owning some important records for a quarterback in their first 100 starts with just three games to go until he passes that threshold.

If Mahomes can complete just five passes, he would surpass Matthew Stafford for the most completed passes in a player’s first 100 starts. Additionally, if he can throw three touchdowns in the game, he would also own the record for the most touchdown passes in a quarterback’s first 100 starts at 223.
Mahomes also can tie a record on Sunday that he could break in Week 3, as a win against the Bengals would tie Mahomes with Tom Brady and Roger Staubach for the most wins by a quarterback in their first 100 starts with 76.
Even if Mahomes is unable to tie or break all of these records on Sunday, he has a great chance to take care of business in the coming weeks against the Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Chargers.
Fans can see if Mahomes can make history once again when the Chiefs host the Bengals on Sunday at 3:25 p.m. CT.
