FLAVOR FLAV GIVES JORDAN CHILES HER OWN BRONZE CLOCK CHAIN AT MTV VMAS AFTER MEDAL WAS TAKEN FROM HER.
At the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, rap star Flavor Flav made an unforgettable moment by gifting Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles a stunning diamond-encrusted bronze stopwatch after a Paris Olympic medal was taken away from her.
He said: “I got you something they can’t take away from you.” The crowd erupted as Flav placed the iconic stopwatch around her neck, leaving Chiles speechless with gratitude. 
While presenting the award for best collaboration at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, Flavor Flav gifted Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles her very own diamond-encrusted bronze stopwatch as a condolence after her 2024 Paris Olympic medal was stripped following a scoring appeal dispute.
“I just want to turn this into a little Olympic moment for a second if ya’ll don’t mind,” said Flavor Flav as the crowd erupted in applause. “Ay yo Jordan, I know they tried to take your medal away from you, but you know what? I got you something that they can’t take away from you.”
Flavor Flav removed the oversized pocket watch chain from his back pocket and placed it around Chiles’ neck. “Wow, I don’t even know what to say here,” she said. “Thank you so much.”
Flavor Flav then swapped out his snap back for a water polo cap and added, “As y’all know I am an official sponsor for the United States Olympic Water Polo Team, so that’s why I wanted to turn this into an Olympic moment. And guess what else? I got your prize money too. I just wanted to surprise you with that.”
In July, the Hall of Fame rapper signed a five-year sponsorship deal with the USA Water Polo Women’s and Men’s National Teams. Following the announcement of his contribution Flavor Flav said in a statement to USA Water Polo, “As a girl dad and a champion of all sports, I’m excited to bring my energy and voice to this incredible sport. Niche sports often don’t get the spotlight they deserve, but they are packed with incredible talent and heart. Together, we’re going to make some serious waves!”
