Simone Biles’ NFL husband Jonathan Owens addressed the criticism after he told Team USA Gymnast that Simone is so lucky to have him as a husband

This offseason, safety Jonathan Owens signed a 2-year $4.75 million contract with the Chicago Bears. Now, Chicago will host the Tennessee Titans for their Week 1 matchup and head to Houston to face off against the Texans for Week 2. Simone Biles, his wife and Olympic gold medalist, shared a sweet message with Owens.
She posted photos of polaroids of the two on her Instagram story with the caption, “See you in a few weeks.”
Despite the Bears having a home game for their season opener, it seems Biles won’t be in attendance for at least the first two games of Chicago’s season.
While Biles was competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics, Owens was granted special permission to travel to France to attend her performance.
“Obviously, the Olympics were coming up, and you know who my wife is,” Owens said, according to Yahoo Sports. “It was all respectful. We went to them and asked, ‘We’d really appreciate if he could go to support his wife.’”
That’s why it is a bit surprising that she won’t be in attendance to watch Owens play his first two games with a new team, but there is likely a good reason for that.
Simone Biles Walked Away With Three Gold Medals At Paris Olympics
Even before the 2024 Olympic Games, Biles was widely considered one of the greatest gymnasts in history.
However, after her performance, she might have solidified herself as the best ever. She walked away with a gold medal in the vault, all-around, and team.
That now brings her Olympics total to seven gold medals, two silver medals, and two bronze medals.
