All that glitters is gold. Watching Simone Biles and her entourage spread magic across the USA with the Gold Over America Tour has been incredible, and things only get better with their iconic venues.
If the Chicago Bulls’ home turf were the proud stage for Biles and her team at Chicago, New Jersey’s Prudential Center will have its own boasting rights this Tuesday.
On October 1, Prudential Center will host the 7x Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles and her GOAT tour battalion in Newark, New Jersey. In 2022, the venue was ranked among the top 5 in the world in a survey by Pollstar Magazine.
It is an 18,000-seat arena and what’s interesting about the venue is that it is home to the NHL New Jersey Devils, Seaton Hall University’s men’s basketball team, and other big events. So one can only imagine how big Simone Biles and her team’s event is going to be.
Fondly called The Rock, the property is owned by Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment. Since opening its doors in 2007, the Prudential Center—Newark’s crown jewel—has taken the sports and entertainment world by storm.
In 2023 alone, the stadium has made a box office sale of $93 million, showcasing just how popular it is among the world’s top organizers.

In the past two weeks, fans have been enthralled by how well the stadiums have complimented the gymnasts with their infrastructural grandeur at the previous shows, and this one shouldn’t disappoint either.
From the iconic Maverik Center in Salt Lake City to the United Center in Chicago, some truly big venues have collaborated with Biles and Co, over the past fortnight.

But coming back to New Jersey’s Prudential Center, here’s all about its history with gymnastics!
Gymnastics & other events held at Prudence Center before Simone Biles’ tour
Over the years, a long list of A-listers have visited the arena to give their fans unforgettable moments. From NCAA Division 1 basketball to the greatest rock n’ roll artists, it has been an incredible journey for the Prudence Center.
Ranked 8th on Pollstar’s 2o23 list of top arenas globally, the Center has proved its prowess in hosting events even apart from hockey.
So when Biles and Co. descend upon the city, they will be welcomed by a team of capable staff who know what to do to execute a show of this magnitude.
The Prudential Center has welcomed a spectacular lineup of performers, including the iconic Bruce Springsteen, the cult legends Misfits, the generational favorites Jonas Brothers, and old-school heroes The Eagles, drawing fans from all over the country.
With 58 major concerts, this arena has become a hotspot for music lovers, showcasing an impressive variety of artists across genres. In fact, John Mayer has also performed at this venue.
It has hosted the MTV Video Music Awards thrice and is set to host the legendary British heavy metal band Iron Maiden later this year.

Fans also enjoyed shows by Doja Cat and Romeo Santos, making it a must-visit venue for fans of all musical tastes. In 2016 and 2017, the American Cup was held at this very location, making it a known spot for gymnastics connoisseurs as well. With this, it was the second time since 2002 that the American Cup was held at the same arena back-to-back. So it is possible that die-hard gymnastics fans will also be present among the crowd on October 1.
After a three-year hiatus, Gold Over America has finally returned and fans can’t seem to get enough of the action. Over the past fortnight, the GOAT has hit nine locations across the USA, and Newark will be the latest spot that will take over the Simone Biles fever soon.
