Simone Biles earned her sixth Olympic gold medal and second all-around Olympic title at the 2024 Paris edition on Thursday, August 1. The American’s stunning maneuvres left the audience, including a star-studded line-up featuring Kendall Jenner, Kevin Durant and Steph Curry, in awe of her prowess.

Biles swept five medals in the all-around, team, vault and floor exercise at the 2016 Rio Olympics. After her debut Olympics turned out to be a success, she entered the 2020 Tokyo Olympics as a heavy gold medal favorite. However, ‘twisties’ forced her to withdraw from the event without any gold.
At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Biles anchored the US team to the top finish in the team finals, earning 171.296. She further extended her gold medal tally by winning the all-around title with 59.131. Witnessing Biles’ monumental win, the crowd inside the Bercy Arena, including some of the most popular faces on earth like Jenner, Curry and Durant, erupted in cheers.

In an X post by NBC, US model and media personality, Kendall Jenner was spotted taking selfies in a USA-themed attire and cap.
Meanwhile, Steph Curry, the US professional basketball player and Golden State Warriors’ point guard, was seen cheering on Biles during the all-around finals rotation 1.
In another X post, a fan posted a conversation with Phoenix Suns’ basketball legend Kevin Durant, who envied Biles’ calf muscles and wished to gain that in the gym soon.
“That was nice. It’s the first time I’m seeing her live. I wish I had that kind of muscle in my calves. Im going to have to get in the gym for that,” said Durant. (as quoted by a gymnastic fan)
Several celebrities like Ariana Grande, Snoop Dogg and Serena Williams, among others, were also spotted in the audience in the past days.
Biles became the first woman to become two-time Olympic all-around champion after Vera Caslavska did it in 1964 and 1968.

Simone Biles has often been vocal about her love for the sport, the reason why she returned for another Olympic run, despite contemplating quitting after her 2020 Tokyo Olympic setback due to ‘twisties’.
At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Simone Biles stepped on the gymnastic mat marking her most awaited Olympic comeback. She took to her Instagram handle to post a carousel of photos, penning a one-liner to show her love for the sport
“grateful to be doing what I love,” Biles said.
The congratulatory notes after winning the all-around title in Paris kept coming for Biles, especially from Aly Raisman, who was quick to show her apprecition, writing:
“In awe of you.”
Simone Biles is entered to compete in the individual apparatus finals as well, where she will look to add three more medals to her resume.
