Duncan’s Inspiring Journey: From Deformity to Hero
Duncan, a Boxer dog, was found wandering the streets with only his two front legs.
His hind legs were fused together, a birth defect that likely led to his abandonment.
Despite this, Duncan is remarkably strong and adaptable, moving around incredibly well on just two legs.
Rescued and initially taken in by a family, destiny had other plans. Gary and Amanda, who run the rescue, formed a deep connection with Duncan. Seeing how happy he was with them, the adoptive family graciously relinquished ownership.
Duncan thrived in his new home, a large house with a garden where he could run and play. However, Gary and Amanda soon discovered another health issue.
Duncan’s fused hind legs were impacting his spine, causing him pain. Amputation was the only option. Even this didn’t dampen Duncan’s spirit.

Duncan is a truly remarkable dog. He loves to run and jump like any other dog, refusing to use a wheelchair. He even climbs stairs on his own. His favorite treat? Peanut butter.
A video of Duncan went viral, garnering over 7 million views and showcasing his incredible spirit. Tragedy struck when Gary and Amanda’s car crashed while swerving to avoid an animal.
While they and two other puppies escaped with minor injuries, Duncan was missing. Gary feared the worst.
Duncan’s pictures were shared widely, and thankfully, he was found wandering nearby. Amanda revealed that Duncan has cheated death multiple times. He has suffered two heart arrests, requiring Gary to perform CPR to save his life.
