Angel Reese has drawn criticism for twerking in a viral video from Unrivaled camp over the weekend – with fans branding her antics ‘gross’.
The Chicago Sky star is currently gearing up for the inaugural season of Unrivaled – a new three-on-three women’s basketball league taking place in the WNBA offseason.
And ahead of Friday’s opening night – when she will line up for the ‘Rose Club’ – Reese could be seen joking around with some of her fellow players.
In a video which sparked controversy online, she showed off her twerking skills alongside Las Vegas Aces star Chelsea Gray in camp.
The clip was captured by Marina Mabrey, Reese’s former Chicago teammate who was traded to the Connecticut Sun back in July, and shared to her 34k followers on TikTok .
However, a number of fans were quick to condemn Reese over her racy antics.

One said sarcastically on X: ‘Great girl for the kids to look up to.’
‘Whatever it takes to get attention,’ wrote another.
While one simply put: ‘Gross’.
At the end of her college career in early 2024, Reese claimed she was being ‘sexualized’ in women’s basketball when discussing some of the online abuse she has been subjected to.
Another user replied to the viral video of her twerking and joked: ‘Don’t sexualize her!’
Reese, who sparked confusion earlier this month by mysteriously deleting her Instagram account , appears to be on great terms with Mabrey despite rumors that the ex-Sky guard left Chicago over the summer because of a conflict between them.
Over the weekend, Mabrey put those rumors to bed once and for all while filming another video with Reese as they both get set for the new Unrivaled league.
The Chicago Sky star is set to play in the new three-on-three women’s basketball league
‘Money Mabrey, I have a conspiracy. People want to know. Marina, did you leave Chicago because of me?’ Angel initially said in the clip.
‘No!’ Marina responded before the former teammates started laughing. ‘I love Angel, the real ones know.’
When Mabrey was traded to the Connecticut Sun in July, she said she wanted to keep the reason she was leaving town ‘in-house’.
She then cited wanting to play for a team who could win championships, as the Sky were one of only four teams to not make the WNBA postseason last year.
