The basketball standout faced intense backlash after featuring rapper Chrisean Rock as a guest on her show, Unapologetically Angel. Critics flooded social media, questioning Reese’s choice to platform Rock, who has a history of legal troubles and public controversies.
Instead of backing down, Reese responded with a blunt four-word message to her detractors: “this my podcast. stfu or don’t watch. thank ya,” she wrote on X. Her unapologetic stance only intensified the debate, with many doubling down on their criticism.

Shortly after the episode dropped, social media erupted with reactions. Detractors pointed to Rock’s past behavior, particularly her actions during pregnancy and unresolved incidents involving rapper DaBaby.
“You dropped Da Baby, skip this too.” one user wrote.

Another remarked, “Scrapped the interview with DaBaby just to interview Chrisean Rock instead… nothing but rocks for brains.”
Some critics even questioned Reese’s approach to branding.
“We aren’t watching, Sid. No worries there” one user advised.
Reese, however, seems unfazed by the controversy. Over the past two years, she has faced relentless scrutiny, dating back to her viral moment during the 2023 NCAA Tournament championship game when she pointed at her ring finger in Caitlin Clark’s direction. That moment cemented her status as one of the most polarizing figures in women’s sports.
With her growing presence as an online content creator, Reese appears committed to her unfiltered approach. While the criticism may persist, she has no plans to silence herself for the sake of public approval.
