The Indiana Fever teammates Caitlin Clark and Lexie Hull have become great friends on and off the court. The WNBA stars have carried their friendship off the court, playing golf and enjoying getaways together.
On Monday, Hull reposted a post by WNBA photographer Bri Lewerke on her social media. The Instagram Story post by Hull showed her and Clark chatting on the court during the game.
“miss it!” Hull captioned the post.
@caitlinclark22 yapping per usual,” she hilariously added.
Hull’s IG story post got a quick reaction from Caitlin Clark. The Fever star reposted the story on her Instagram and gave a one-word reaction.
“duh,” Clark wrote in the caption.
The Fever teammates have developed great chemistry outside the basketball court that even helped Hull to have the best season of her career in the WNBA. She averaged a career-high in points, field-goal percentage and 3-point percentage.
According to USA Today, Fever teammates, Clark, Hull and Katie Lou Samuelson all traveled to Mexico with their partners during the Olympic break. Even after the regular season was over, the teammates appeared in several TikTok videos together.
Lexie Hull showers praise on Fever teammate Caitlin Clark
The friendship between Caitlin Clark and Lexie Hull has been growing since the start of the 2024 season. Being close to one of the most famous athletes in the country, Hull has seen the pressure on Clark firsthand.
In a conversation with Ainka Jess on She’s4Sports’ “Convos With The W” last Tuesday, Hull showered praise on Clark for her maturity in handling the fame gracefully.
“It’s really awesome to get to know her as well, because, you know, she’s a great person, but you all have these expectations put on her and our team has put on her and fans have put on her. So to see her kind of be so mature in that transition, it’s been really awesome.” (2:36)
Before Caitlin Clark participated in ANNIKA pro-am in Florida, she practiced with Hull in October.
In January next year, Lexie Hull will participate in the inaugural “Unrivaled” league. She will join other star players like Breanna Stewart, Angel Reese and Napheesa Collier to compete in the new 3X3 league.
While WNBA fans expected Clark to join the league, the Fever star chose to stick to her word after the Fever’s last game of the 2024 WNBA season. Clark had told the media that she was going to play a lot of golf, and she has done exactly that.
