Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese makes first (legendary) post after 93-58 loss to Fever!
Following the Chicago Sky’s 93–58 defeat to the Indiana Fever, rookie forward Angel Reese ignited discussions with a candid social media post. On her Instagram Story, Reese shared a message stating, “Someone should pay me,” accompanied by a photo of herself on the court.
The post quickly garnered attention, with fans and commentators interpreting it in various ways. Some viewed it as a lighthearted remark, while others saw it as a pointed commentary on the WNBA’s salary structure.

The Chicago Sky have talked about their new-look offense under first-year head coach Tyler Marsh for most of the preseason. The offense wasn’t to be found for much of Saturday afternoon after Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever ran Angel Reese and the Sky out of Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Chicago shot just 29.1% in a 93-58 loss to the Fever in front of a raucous crowd of 17,274. Ariel Atkins, Courtney Vandersloot, and Kia Nurse combined for 19 points, one point less than Clark. Clark finished with 20 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds.

Reese was the Sky’s leading scorer. She finished with 12 points, 17 rebounds, one assist, and five turnovers. She was a -20 on the floor.
Reese and Clark had a heated moment with 4:38 remaining in the third quarter when Reese took exception to a fragrant foul by Clark that put the former LSU star on the hardwood. Reese and Alyiah Boston were called for offsetting technicals when Reese confronted Clark.
Following the game, Reese told reporters that Clark made a basketball play, and the refs made the correct call. Reese appeared understandably frustrated during the second-half collapse and during her presser.
On her Instagram page Saturday night, Reese posted pictures with a legendary caption to her story on the way back to Chicago.

The Sky have a few days to work on their offense before their next contest. They host the New York Liberty on Thursday at 6 p.m. CST. The defending champs knocked off A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces 92-78 on Saturday.
