Hockey game stopped early after 226 penalty minutes.
A crazy hockey game last night results in the plug being pulled early.
This might go down as one of the wildest games in hockey history, and the crazy part is that they didn’t even manage to play out the whole game.
On Friday night the Mississauga Charges and Milton Menace of the Ontario Junior Hockey League went head to head in what can only be described as an insane game, one that saw the two teams earn a combined 226 penalty minutes through only 2 periods of play. For those of you not counting, that is nearly enough penalty minutes to cover 4 full games of hockey.
The final result of the game was a 3-1 victory for the Menace, but something tells me that not many people will be walking away from this particular contest with the scoreline first and foremost in their minds.

You might be wondering why there’s no penalty stats listed for the third period and for good reason. As Stephen Ellis points out however, there was no third period in this one with the game being called before the third period even began.
The craziest part? This game didn’t even count and was only a preseason game between the two squads.
Something tells me that there will be a lot of eyeballs tuning in when these two teams square off next.
