Rosie O’Donnell said she would turn down any sponsorship deals with American Eagle and criticized their Sydney Sweeney campaign…

Comedian and actress Rosie O’Donnell has publicly stated that she would decline any sponsorship deals with American Eagle, citing criticism of the brand’s recent campaign featuring actress Sydney Sweeney.
O’Donnell made the remarks in a candid discussion on social media, where she addressed the growing trend of celebrity endorsements and brand collaborations. While she acknowledged the popularity of such partnerships, she made it clear that American Eagle would not be a brand she would support.

“I wouldn’t take their sponsorship,” O’Donnell said. “The whole Sydney Sweeney campaign feels tone-deaf and out of touch.”
The campaign in question, launched earlier this year, spotlighted Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney as the face of American Eagle’s new collection. While some praised the campaign for its youthful energy and star power, others criticized it as overly polished and disconnected from the brand’s supposed focus on inclusivity and authenticity.

O’Donnell’s comments add to the broader debate around celebrity-driven advertising and whether it resonates with audiences in an era increasingly focused on transparency and representation.
Neither American Eagle nor Sydney Sweeney has responded publicly to O’Donnell’s remarks.
WNBA Star Receives Intriguing Offer From WWE That Would Earn Her More Money & Force Her To Quit Basketball

One WNBA star has received a tempting offer from WWE, with Kalani Brown mulling over a promotion tabled by said wrestling promotion.
The Mercury Phoenix center, who went viral for her stunning pregame outfit earlier this season, has been offered an opportunity that could see her salary go up by a whopping 15 percent.
Brown was the Los Angeles Sparks’ No. 7 overall pick in 2019 after standing out at Baylor, but she has struggled since making the transition to the pros, averaging less than 16 minutes over her seven years while scoring less than six points a game over 128 outings.
She had zero involvement in the Mercury’s comeback win over the Golden State Valkyries earlier this week and shared a post suggesting she’s been jailed after the game.
However, it turns out that she received a message from WWE a few hours before the fixture.
“This is Macy Zaban from the Talent ID and Recruitment Division here at the WWE,” it read. “We have identified you as a potential great fit for the brand. I am reaching out to see if you might be interested in an opportunity to tryout for the WWE?”
Kalani Brown Isn’t Sure She Could Do This

Brown posted a screenshot of the DM to Twitter/X, as well as a GIF suggesting she isn’t so sure but leaning towards no.
“Oh I never said NO.. Its more so like a “Can I really do it??? 🤔” Idkkkkk😂,” she wrote in response to a fan in the comments who told her she would earn more money. Of course, this beats having fans ejected for mocking a player who lost a wig mid-game, which was the case for one of her teammates recently.
It also beats having to deal with the threat of green sex toys being thrown onto the court during games.
Despite her limited time on the floor, Kalani Brown is one of the league’s better-paid players. She’s making $128,750 this season from a three-year contract with the Mercury, guaranteeing her $386,250.
A move to WWE would guarantee her at least $150,000 as a starter, around 15 percent more than she’s making now.
It’s certainly something to consider.
