Michael Jackson’s son Prince engaged just weeks after sister Paris breaks off hers

Prince Jackson has revealed he has proposed to his longterm girlfriend Molly Schirmang after eight years of dating as he shared a series of rare snaps of the couple

Michael Jackson’s firstborn child Prince has revealed he is now engaged as he shared a series of rare snaps with his new fiancée. The 28-year-old started dating Molly Schirmang eight years ago and choose to keep their romance private.

However, Prince decided to share a string of photos from over the years to celebrate their happy news. He announced their engagement on Tuesday, just as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce shared their proposal.

Prince confirmed he is set to walk down the aisle with Molly as he gushed: “8 years down [infinity] to go. Molly and I have spent a lot of time together and made incredible memories.”

Photos showed them celebrating his college graduation as well as holiday snaps. “We’ve traveled the world, graduated and grown so much together,” he added.

“I’m excited for this next chapter in our lives as we continue to grow and make great memories. I love you babs.” The couple were also seen with Prince’s grandmother Katherine Jackson, 95, in one of their loved up photos.

Prince’s famous family shared their joy at the news as Taryll Jackson – son of Michael’s brother Tito – wrote: “Congrats!!!” He had previously made a rare comment about his love life when he first started dating Molly.

“I think in everything there’s an important balance. I think that I’m a certain way, and she’s very — I don’t want to say opposite — but complementary in a way that we balance each other out. I’m more aggressive, she’s a little softer,” he told People.

Prince explained the relationship “helps us stay well-rounded” in that she urged him to “see things through a different light”. His engagement comes just weeks after sister Paris Jackson decided to call off her own.

Michael’s daughter revealed she had got engaged to music producer Justin Long in December after a romantic trip to Paris. “Doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind and I couldn’t dream of anyone more perfect for me to do it all with,” she wrote at the time.

However, last month Paris confirmed the relationship was over. She addressed speculation all was not well in her personal life after being snapped looking emotional.

Paris wrote: “those are breakup tears. y’all are fkn reaching again.” Pop star Michael welcomed Paris, 27, and Prince with his second wife Debbie Rowe.

The late singer also had a son via surrogacy called Bigi, 23, who was formerly known as Blanket. Michael died at the age of 50 in 2009 from a cardiac arrest.
