Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany are looking forward to welcoming their third child now that the Kansas City Chiefs have secured the No. 1 seed in the AFC this Christmas.
The team delivered a dominant Christmas Day performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers, culminating in a convincing 29-10 win. Mahomes was on fire, burning through the renowned Steelers’ defense with over 320 yards and three touchdowns.
One of those marked a record-breaking moment for team-mate Travis Kelce as the Chiefs confirmed home-field advantage heading into the playoffs.
Post-match, an elated Mahomes gave a nod to his expectant spouse, Brittany in a Netflix interview: “I told my wife I was gonna get her the No. 1 seed so we can go have that baby. And we got the one seed.”
This came after he clinched the title of Christmas MVP alongside Kelce, who celebrated by applauding Mahomes during the interview.
Brittany actively cheered from the sidelines during the festive victory. The 29-year-old entrepreneur and Kansas City Current co-owner showcased her Christmas celebrations on Instagram Stories along with Sterling Skye, their three-year-old daughter, and two-year-old son Bronze.
One highlight was little Sterling baking and supporting her dad, evidenced by a clip Brittany shared captioned: “Baking and watching daddy” complete with a loving heart emoji. Later, she posted a charming selfie with Sterling, both sporting matching flannel pyjamas.
She didn’t miss out on showcasing some tender moments with Bronze either, cuddling up for ‘game day snuggles’ on the couch, encapsulating the family joy on a triumphant Christmas Day.
The Kansas City Chiefs have secured a much-needed break after a gruelling schedule of three games in 11 days. The team can now look forward to an extended rest period, with their final regular season game against the Denver Broncos scheduled for next week.
