Prince Andrew’s royal future had been under speculation since the past few months especially after he was swiftly uninvited from the annual royal family Christmas gathering in December 2024.

Reports suggested that King Charles is “losing patience” with his brother especially after his Chinese spy scandal which caused a national security matter. However, when Andrew appeared during the Easter Sunday Service, many critics was displeased by the Palace’s decision.

While there was pretty much radio silence on the matter until Monday when a shocking update came from court circular of the Buckingham Palace.

As the senior members of the royal family gathered for the Garter Day service, Andrew was hidden from the public eye during the Windsor Castle reception.

The circular stated, “The King and Queen gave a Luncheon Party for the Companions of the Most Noble Order of the Garter at which The Prince of Wales, The Duke of York, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and The Duke of Kent were present.”

The statement continued to list down the important guests who were invited to the event.

However, it was pertinent to note that Andrew’s mention came right after the heir to the throne, Prince William, and before the much-beloved royals including Prince Edward, Duchess Sophie and Princess Anne.

The update comes after an Express.co.uk report suggested that there is a secret contract made between the King and his disgraced brother.

The insider revealed to the outlet that Andrew’s “inclusion in the private aspects is seen as a compromise by both sides.”

While reports suggest that Prince William is frustrated by his uncle given the amount of damage he has done to the royal family’s reputation, it appears that Andrew’s near future as the Duke of York remains secured.
