OMG! Travis Kelce & Patrick Mahomes team up to open a restaurant called “1587”
Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are set to venture into the restaurant business with the opening of their very own steakhouse, 1587 Prime. The restaurant is slated to open in early 2025 at the Lowe’s Hotel in downtown Kansas City.
The Chiefs duo has partnered with Noble 33, a Las Vegas-based restaurant group, to bring this unique dining experience to life. 1587 Prime will offer visitors a taste of how Mahomes and Kelce eat while on the road, fusing upscale dining with their personal preferences.
“Travis and I have become frequent visitors of Noble 33 restaurants in other cities, so it only made sense to bring something special to our own community in Kansas City,” Mahomes said in a recent press release.
The Name and Vision
The name 1587 Prime is inspired by the duo’s jersey numbers, 15 for Mahomes and 87 for Kelce. Tosh Berman, co-founder of Noble 33, emphasized that their loyalty to the restaurant group was the driving force behind the creation of the concept.
“Patrick and Travis are longtime regulars at our other restaurants, so their involvement and input have been instrumental,” Berman said. “A great starting point was bringing elements they loved from those experiences and abstracting them in an original way for 1587 Prime.”
A Unique Dining Experience
Noble 33 will be spearheading the menu development, restaurant design, and overall experience for 1587 Prime. Berman emphasized that while Noble 33 will manage the core operations, Mahomes and Kelce’s vision will be integral in creating a dining experience that resonates with their lifestyle and Kansas City’s culinary scene.
Future Expansion
Plans are already underway to potentially expand 1587 Prime into other major cities, transforming the restaurant into a nationwide chain.
1587 Prime is expected to be a premier destination for Kansas City residents and visitors, combining world-class dining with the essence of Mahomes and Kelce’s shared passions.
