Beyoncé fans in shock at her daughter Blue Ivy as she makes unexpected cameo during NFL halftime show

Beyoncé brought her daughter out as a special guest during the iconic performance

Viewers of Beyoncé’s iconic halftime performance during Netflix’s broadcast of the NFL have been left shocked following one incredible detail.

The 43-year-old global superstar was clad in a bejewelled bodysuit and statement cowboy hat at the NRG Stadium in Houston, where she breezed through a number of her addictive hits.

The performance lasted over 12 minutes and featured a number of bops from her critically acclaimed Cowboy Carter album.

The sport event saw the Baltimore Ravens take on the Houston Texans game, before which the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Queen Bey also brought out a number of special guests, including her daughter Blue Ivy Carter.

The 12-year-old delighted viewers when performing stellar choreography alongside her mum.

This isn’t the first time we’ve been treated to Blue Ivy’s talent – she made a number of appearances during Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour.

With the sheer capability of Blue Ivy being common knowledge at this point, it was something else that shocked viewers.

Her height.

Blue Ivy was taller than her famous mum – who is 5″7′.

One person wrote on X: “Blue ivy is so tall i almost didnt recognise her.”

Another said: “Every time Blue Ivy shows up in public she’s two inches taller.”

And a third added: “I be so shocked when kids are taller than their parents like I’m not 3 inches taller than my Mama 😂😩 Like Blue Ivy is really taller than Bey.”

Another special guest was Post Malone, as well as Shaboozey.

During her set, Beyoncé made a controversial hand gesture which didn’t sit well with everybody.

Partway through her song ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’, and while singing the word ‘bang’, made her fingers into the shape of a gun.

It’s a move which NFL players are fined for – Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson and tight end David Njoku were both fined over $10,000.

One person wrote on X: “The performance, her first since husband Jay-Z’s legal troubles made headlines, seemed more focused on controversy than Christmas spirit, complete with mock shootouts at a family event.

“Looks like the self-proclaimed Queen of Texas just proved there’s one set of rules for celebrities and another for everyone else – even in her hometown stadium.”

NFL executive Troy Vincent has previously made comments about the gesture, declaring: “There’s no place in professional football for that. Think about where we are as a society… I don’t think that’s where we are and what we’re trying to represent. We have a responsibility as professional athletes.”

Roger Goodell, NFL commissioner, also said: “Troy had a direct conversation with the union, I think, just last week about it. We’re going to continue on that focus. We don’t think it’s appropriate in those circumstances and sends the wrong messages. “So, we’ll continue to do that.”
