Travis Kelce thinks “cranky” NFL fans are finally coming around to his romance with Taylor Swift — despite incessantly complaining about it during the season.

During a recent episode of “The Pat McAfee Show,” Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce acknowledged the growing recognition of his genuine relationship with Taylor Swift. Host Pat McAfee pointed out that while many initially viewed their romance as a PR stunt, it’s now evident that Kelce is not only an outstanding football player but also truly in love.

“It’s a beautiful thing, isn’t it?” Kelce, 34, responded, highlighting that he and Swift, also 34, are simply two individuals in a relationship who support one another and enjoy their time together.

Although Kelce only subtly alluded to his feelings for Swift during the interview, the couple was seen sharing affectionate words after the Chiefs celebrated their victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

The couple has faced considerable scrutiny from some football fans regarding the attention Swift receives at Kelce’s games, despite her averaging under 25 seconds of screen time per game. Nevertheless, Kelce is determined to keep their relationship as normal as possible. “We just have fun with it and savor every moment,” he said, expressing his appreciation for Swift’s support as she enjoys the game alongside family and friends. He described the past year as nothing short of wonderful.

Since their romance began over the summer, Swift has attended 12 of Kelce’s games this season, often arriving with his parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, as well as his close childhood friends. Recently, she also met Kelce’s older brother, Jason, and his sister-in-law, Kylie, at one of Travis’ games earlier this month.

The group is expected to get together again on Feb. 11 to cheer on the Chiefs as they face off against the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl — despite Swift having a concert across the globe the night before.

Although the Super Bowl is nearly two weeks away, there has already been grumbling from some NFL fans about Swift’s presence at the game — yet Travis also noted that getting “hate” is nothing new for Swift, who has “dealt with it forever.”

“We hear it but we hardly ever talk about it,” he said of the criticism. “Its nothing to even talk about — nothing to bring up.”

Although the pair don’t give the negative attention much thought, Travis admitted elsewhere in the episode that the extra media scrutiny has been a “brand new” experience for him.

“From having the paparazzi follow me every single day into work to everybody having my name on their talk show every single day whether it’s sports whether it’s not sports,” he explained. “You know it’s just been a crazy, crazy ride I could have never anticipated.”

“But I’m having fun with it — the majority of the world is having fun with it — outside the cranky NFL fans that just don’t want to see the Chiefs win… but we are slowly reeling them in.”.
