There are reportedly two rules that everyone must follow when playing on Michael Jordan’s exclusive golf course.

Jordan is often regarded as the NBA’s greatest player of all time.

During an illustrious career, Jordan won six NBA championships whilst playing for the Chicago Bulls.

Since retiring in 2003, Jordan continues to be one of the most influential sportspersons in the world due to his work with Nike.

He later went on to own an NBA team, the Charlotte Hornets, and is these days more focused on his NASCAR team, 23XI Racing.

Apart from the above-mentioned sports, Jordan is also said to be a keen golfer and has his own exclusive, invite-only club.

As reported by Business Insider, Jordan’s golf club, Grove XXIII, opened back in 2019 and it is located in Hobe Sound, near the NBA legend’s home in Florida.

It was claimed in 2021 that the club had less than 100 members, and that guests had to abide by some strict rules.

Radio host and sports reporter Jon Weiner said: “You can’t really carry a phone around.

“You’re not supposed to tell too many stories about it.”

In addition, Weiner claimed that photos are forbidden inside the clubhouse.

According to PGA star Rickie Fowler, Grove XXIII’s nickname is ‘Slaughterhouse 23’.

Speaking to Golf.Com, Fowler explained how the course was designed to maximise Jordan’s game style by the main man himself.

He said: “The shorter you hit it, the wider it is. He (Jordan) can basically hit driver on all the par 4, par 5s. And if I want to hit driver, I have to kind of put it into a bit of a tighter spot. I can obviously play back if I want, but that becomes a little bit of a disadvantage, especially if it’s a hole where he’s getting a stroke on.

“If I’m giving him a shot, I can’t then play from the same spot he is when he’s laying zero. I’m not sure the last time it broke 70, but he can shoot anywhere from 71 to 74. If he’s shooting 77 and he’s got a double in there, I got to shoot 65 to get to 18!”

Meanwhile, NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin claimed in 2021 that the club had less than 100 members.

He said: “The course was unbelievable. There’s only 75 members. Hopefully to be 76 here in the next few weeks, so it was really an honor to be invited and be a member at such an exclusive place. It’s really new, just a few months old. It’s going to be fun to do for the next 20 to 30 years, as long as I’m able to play.”
