”Junior, Jump! Jump downstairs, I will give you sweet.” Stella said to her sister’s 2 weeks old baby
Nobody was in the compound that day, All the neighbors have gone out that lonely afternoon.
”Nobody will save you today Junior, ” Stella said in her mind as she laughed out loud.
Mrs. Vera and her only child, Junior, who was just six months old, were watching TV in their sitting room when she suddenly heard a knock on the door.
She stood up quickly, wondering who it could be. When she opened the door, her eyes widened with joy.
It was her younger sister, Ste
“Stella!” she screamed happily and hugged her tight. “Ah, Junior, see your Aunty is here!” she said excitedly, smiling down at her baby who was lying on the sofa.
”Junior, Jump! Jump downstairs, I will give you sweet.” Stella said to her sister’s 2 weeks old baby
Junior smiled and kicked his tiny legs.
But unknown to Vera, her sister Stella came with a plan…
A plan that would ruin everything she had worked so hard for.
“Stella, what do you want to eat? I cooked soup today,” Vera said cheerfully, unaware of the darkness hidden behind her sister’s f@ke smile.
Stella forced a smile and walked toward Junior. “I just came to see my sister’s son,” she said sweetly. “I came to see Junior.”
She lifted the baby into her arms, rocking him gently as she played with his soft fingers.
Vera smiled. “Thank God you came. I was thinking how I’d go to the market with him. Thank God you’re here. Please, just be careful — don’t let him go to the balcony, please.”
Stella gave a w!cked smile, one Vera didn’t notice.
“Don’t worry,” she said softly. “I’ll take good care of Junior. You can take your time.”
Vera’s heart relaxed. She hurried into her room to dress up, humming a tune as she put on her slippers. But just before she left, Junior suddenly started crying.
He cried and kicked his little legs, as if begging his mother not to leave.
Vera touched his soft cheeks. “Shhh, it’s okay, my love. Stay with Aunty, Mommy will be back soon.”
Then she looked at Stella. “If he cries too much, please call me.”
Stella smiled. “I will.”
The moment Vera stepped out, Stella’s smile disappeared.
Her eyes turned cold.
Without care, she dropped Junior roughly on the tiled floor. His small head hit the ground, and he began crying loudly.
But Stella didn’t care.
She locked the door and went downstairs. She walked around the compound, checking each corner carefully. She even knocked on some neighbors’ doors, pretending to greet them, just to make sure no one was around.
When she was satisfied that Nobody was around, she went out quickly and bought a piece of sweet.
She smiled wickedly as she climbed back upstairs.
When she entered, Junior was still on the floor crying helplessly. His tiny hands were shaking.
Stella stared at him coldly. “Today, I will teach your mother a lesson she will never forget,” she whispered.
She brought out the sweet and showed it to him. Junior stopped crying, his innocent eyes lighting up. He stretched out his tiny hands, trying to take it.
Stella laughed uncontrollably. “Not so easy, my dear nephew. If you want this sweet, then we’re going to play a little game.”
The innocent baby smiled, not understanding what was about to happen.
Stella lifted him up and carried him to the balcony. She placed him on a chair near the rails.
Their house was a THREE-STOREY BUILDING, and they lived on the **HIGHEST FLOOR**.
The baby stood on the chair, looking down curiously, his small head peeking over the balcony.
“Jump, Junior,” Stella said with an evil grin. “Jump and you’ll see Mommy. Jump, and I’ll give you the sweet.”
Junior looked down as if searching for his mother. He didn’t understand, but he smiled faintly.
When Stella saw that he wasn’t jumping, she gave him a push.
The next sound was silence.
Junior’s small body fell from the third floor straight to the ground below.
No cry.
No scream.
Junior lay still on the floor, face down, bl00d slowly running from his nose.
Stella looked down from the balcony, smiling. But as if that wasn’t enough, she picked a large stone from the floor and threw it down on him.
She wanted to make sure the baby didn’t survive.
Junior didn’t move.
After a few seconds, Stella rushed out of the house and went straight to her own apartment. She cleaned her hands, picked up her phone, and smiled.
Then she called Vera’s husband.
“Brother-in-law, please rush home!” she said, pretending to panic. “A neighbor just called me now, saying your wife left Junior alone and he fell from the balcony!”
Patrick froze. “What?!” he shouted. “No… no, it can’t be!”
His heart raced. His only son? The child he and Vera waited ten years for?
He rushed home immediately.
As Stella dropped the call, she smiled. “Let’s see how you defend yourself now, dear Sister Vera.”
Then she called her sister, pretending to cry.
“Vera, please come home! Junior fell from the balcony!”
“What!” Vera screamed. “No! Stella, please tell me you’re joking!” she shouted, tears already streaming down her face as she ran out of the market.
When Patrick arrived home, he saw his son lying on the ground — lifeless.
He fell to his knees, crying uncontrollably. “Vera, why?! Why would you leave our baby alone?”
Vera shook her head, crying. “No! I left him with my sister! Please, believe me! Let’s take him to the hospital!”
Patrick pushed her away angrily. “Don’t touch my son! You’re lying! Stella said she wasn’t here! You want to blame her for your carelessness!”
“No, please listen to me!” Vera cried louder. “I can never hurt my child!”
Just then, Stella arrived, pretending to cry.
“Sister, how could you? Why did you leave the baby alone and go to the market?” she said, shaking her head sadly.
The neighbors began to murmur. Everyone blamed Vera.
She looked at her sister with tears in her eyes. “Stella… why, why would you betray your own sister like this?” she whispered.
But Stella only looked away, pretending to wipe her tears.
Patrick shouted, “Police! Arrest her for negligence!”
As the officers dragged Vera away, she screamed, “Stella! Why are you doing this to me?”
Stella stood beside Patrick, hiding a wicked smile as he entered the car with junior.
As the car carrying Patrick and Stella drove off with the baby, Stella looked through the window and whispered,
“This is just the beginning, Sister Vera. Your foolish husband is under my control. And I’ll make sure this baby never survives.”
Patrick, unaware of her evil plan, thanked her. “Thank you, Stella, for calling me on time. Oh God I hope my Junior survives this.”
She smiled faintly and touched his shoulder. “It’s nothing, brother-in-law. I love Junior so much… I just don’t know if his mother loved him the same.”
Her lips curved into a cold smile.
But unknown to Stella, THE TRUTH MIGHT BE DELAYED… BUT IT NEVER STAYS HIDDEN FOREVER.
To be continued…
