It’s not often that Matt Stafford makes a terrible mistake, but he indeed committed one on Sunday Night Football.

Detroit Lions defensive back Kerby Joseph made him commit one when he plucked Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford for a costly interception thrown in the end zone.

It turns out that Stafford may have been tricked into making such a mistake.

An online conspiracy theory says the Detroit Lions purposely painted their end zones the same color as their jerseys, making it hard for Matt Stafford to determine if Lions players were near his teammates.

Now, we do not know this to be true, but it would be quite genius if the team did this to help out the players.

The Lions went on to beat Tampa Bay before blowing a big lead against San Francisco in the NFC championship.

Matt Stafford is now looking to exact some revenge.
