Travis Kelce Talks ‘Frustrating’ Relationship With Patrick Mahomes This NFL Season
Two of the NFL’s most popular names at the moment are Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes. Not only are they Super Bowl victors, but the world can’t stop talking about their companions, either. Naturally, Pat is married to his college sweetheart, and Travis is seeing pop sensation Taylor Swift.
They have a reputation as a close-knit team because of their long-standing relationship as teammates. Kelce was virtually guaranteed to enter the end zone in prior seasons. However, that isn’t this year’s cast. In fact, the NFL tight end complained about being cut off from Pat in a recent episode of Travis’ podcast, New Heights. When talking to his brother Jason Kelce, Travis described it as “f*cking frustrating.” What else did he have to say?
The Kansas City Chiefs, Travis and Patrick’s NFL franchise, are well-known. They have, however, been involved in some close battles this year. One of them occurred when they played the Raiders on December 1. It seemed like luck was on their side even though they managed to win. Kelce caught seven passes for 68 yards throughout the contest. He has already scored two touchdowns this season.
However, Swift’s lover claims that he doesn’t approve of that.
“Where I take a lot of pride is once we get in that red zone, man,” he said, referring to the area on the field between the 20-yard line and the goal line. “I get a little hungrier. Right now, for whatever reason this year, I just can’t find my way in the end zone. I’m just not on the same page as Pat. It can get frustrating. It can get f*cking frustrating. That’s for damn sure.”
Jason, Travis’ brother and a Philadelphia Eagles player, defended him. The former offensive lineman acknowledged that he could relate to Travis’ desire to maintain a “high standard” for himself. But he claimed that he thought his younger sibling was being “too hard.”
Fans reacted to Travis’ revelation about his relationship with Patrick Mahomes online. Needless to say, they didn’t show him much grace.
“No sh*t motherf*cker,” one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “Work on your routes more after practice instead of [being obsessed with your girl].”
“Work like balance, right?” another person wrote. “More concerts mean less training and practice.”
However, there were a few that had the baller’s back.
“There’s nothing you can say about Trav’s route,” one person clapped back. “That MF is still one of the best route runners out there at 35 and still going strong.”
“You know every dude on that team has got a girl, right?” someone else commented. “Why aren’t you being a weirdo about them too? Idiot!”
