Travis Kelce’s ex Kayla Nicole has found herself rocked by scandal once again due to her October 10 podcast interview with WNBA star Angel Reese — and this time it isn’t with the Swifties!

Nicole, 32, garnered the ire of Teyana Taylor when she recalled a moment of pettiness where she dressed as the singer and actress for Halloween, because she was salty Taylor was dating her ex, Iman Shumpert.

Taylor didn’t take too kindly to being pulled into Nicole’s drama, leaving a rather long and passionate comment on The Shade Room’s Instagram post about the interview — that has since been deleted. “F**k the Iman part, I’m divorced and happily so, however, her choice of words were very distasteful and uncalled for,” Taylor wrote.

Referring to Nicole’s Halloween costume, the Coming 2 America star noted that the “crazy part about it all” is that she had initially showed the model love under her social media post featuring the costume. “Whole time I ain’t even know she was being shady,” Taylor wrote, adding, “Now I do.”

“She knew exactly what she was doing,” Taylor continued, noting that Nicole described her as “this singer/actress who was famous at the time.” Despite deleting her comment, the A Thousand and One star was annoyed enough to make her own social media post to show just how enduring her fame actually is.

“I know 2025 gone hate to see a Taylor coming!! ❤️‍🔥🌹🎥🎬🎞️ 💸 Me: You did ya big one 🙏🏾 God: AND DID 🤲🏾,” Taylor posted, alongside a series of photos announcing her upcoming roles, like in Ryan Murphy series All’s Fair, and films like The Battle of Baktan Cross from director Paul Thomas Anderson and Tyler Perry’s Straw.

She is also making her directorial debut with Get Lite for Paramount, which is set to star Storm Reid. The fact that she chose to write “hate to see a Taylor coming” suggests Teyana could have been referring to Swift, there, too. To twist the knife a bit more — following Swifties attacking Nicole both for being Kelce’s ex and for speaking about him in her interview with Reese — Taylor set her post to the tune of Taylor Swift’s 2014 hit “Shake It Off.”

Taylor also referenced Swift in her since-deleted comment, saying Nicole “pulled the Black card when it came to Taylor Swift, but… turned around and tried to bully the Black woman that was married to her situationship she claimed ‘dumped her’ for me.” She added, “Dressing up like me for what??”

This is only the latest drama surrounding Nicole’s appearance on Reese’s Unapologetically Angel podcast in an episode that aired Thursday, October 10. The interview first sent Swifties swarming to support the LSU alum’s basketball rival, Caitlin Clark.

Fans of The Tortured Poets Department hitmaker were not happy when Reese gave Nicole the platform, especially when she seemingly alleged that she can’t speak to Kelce anymore, despite seeing him out at events, because of his relationship with Swift. Nicole also addressed the hate she has been getting from Swift fans.

However, the most recent controversy had to do with Nicole coming clean about the “craziest thing” she’s ever done. She revealed she had been dating someone — though they weren’t in an official relationship — and that he broke up with her via text message “for this singer/actress who was famous at the time.”

Nicole said she was “devastated” after the guy “lied about it for months then popped out with her,” after which, she said the pair became an “iconic celebrity couple.” Nicole — who dated Kelce on and off from 2017 until 2022 — alleges she had uprooted her life to move to New York for this mystery man, calling it a “whole thing.”

She went on to reveal that the crazy thing she had done was dress up as her ex’s new paramour that Halloween. That clue is how fans were able to figure out that Nicole was talking about Taylor, 33, and her then-partner Shumpert, 34.

Taylor and the former NBA star began dating in 2013, and went on to welcome daughters Iman “Junie” Jr., 8, and Rue, 4. The couple tied the knot in 2016, and were married until they called it quits in 2023.
