On Sunday, when some members of the Mahomes family weren’t able to visit SoFi Stadium, they decided to watch Patrick Mahomes from a different location. Unlike Brittany Mahomes and Jackson Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback’s mom turned on the TV from the hospital bedroom, where her father, Randy Martin is battling with his life. Sharing a glimpse of the moment, the 53-year-old asked her fans to pray for her dad in this stressful time. And now, once again, the mom of three prays for her dad with a 7-word wish.

As October enters the year, Randi Mahomes picked the perfect day 1 of the month, to make a wish for her beloved daddy. On her official Instagram story, Patrick Mahomes’ mother shared an IG user Zach Windahl’s post, which stated, “I PRAY OCTOBER IS GOOD FOR YOU (smiling emoticon).”

October is generally considered as the month which brings good health, peace, healing, and love. As Randi Mahomes is facing one of the most difficult battles of her life with her father being hospitalized for weeks due to illness, she too prays for good upcoming days.

Randi Mahomes broke this news earlier on September 13, by informing her fans on X: “Prayer warriors please pray for my daddy. He is in the hospital and is not well … his name is Randy.” Though she didn’t exactly mention what’s wrong with Randy Martin, she hopes her fans will pray for her beloved father, with whom she is deeply connected.

Well, last year too, when Randi Mahomes’ mother, Debbie Bates was dealing with a series of health complications, she asked her fans to pray for her. But, unfortunately, destiny had some other plans for the Mahomes family, as they lost Bates in April 2023. And hence, it’s difficult for Randi to face a similar issue this year, as the quarterback’s mom is very close to her father.

Randi Mahomes tried to make her father smile!

Randi Mahomes has always shared her love for family on social media. Whether it’s sweet photos of her kids – Patrick Mahomes, Jackson, and Mia – or adorable moments with her grandkids, Sterling and Bronze – family is at the heart of her life. But if you look closely, there’s also one bond that stands out, which is her love for her dad, Randy Martin.

Martin was a former school principal who has 33 years of teaching experience in his professional career. This is the reason why he has always tried to instill humbleness, good qualities, and the importance of education in his daughter’s life. It’s no doubt that Randi Mahomes is very close to her father, as this is also evident from a post of four years back.

So, what happened was, in 2020, Randi shared an emotional Father’s Day message for her daddy. She wrote, “Happy Father’s Day dad!! I love you.” Not only that! Just recently this year, she even posted a sweet Easter photo with him, showing how close they are. In addition to that, last August, she even joked in a photo caption, “Almost got daddy to smile!!!”

All these instances make it clear that her father holds a special place in her heart. And hence, Randi Mahomes is asking everyone to join her in praying for her daddy.
