6 years after raising a gorilla, it meets his wife: despite the warnings she gets too close

When multi-millionaire and wildlife conservationist Damian Aspinall introduced his new wife to two of his old friends, he didn’t think he would have to worry about them stealing her away from him. Especially since they’re gorillas!
Damian Aspinall raised two gorillas, Djalta and Ima, from the time they were little gorilla babies until they were 12-years-old. At that age, they were grown up and ready to be released into the jungle.
Six years later, it was time to visit them again — this time in their natural habitat. Damian also wanted to introduce his wife Victoria to his two old friends.
Damian Aspinall runs a foundation to protect wildlife and over the years he has seen and worked with hundreds of neglected, injured, and orphaned gorillas. He and other conservationists have successfully rehabilitated and returned many of those animals to the wild.
Through his work, he has also studied, learned from, and formed inseparable ties with the gorillas.
However, he was aware that his wife did not have the same history working with wild animals, and he was unsure how Djalta and Ima would react to a complete stranger.
Damian and his wife traveled into the dense jungle by way of a crocodile-infested river, and the couple finally reached the place where the gorillas had made their new home. As they got closer to seeing the now wild animals, they were aware that the gorillas may not willingly accept people into their territory.
Approaching despite warnings
There was a chance that the gorillas wouldn’t recognize Damian — it had been 6 years since they had seen him. Since gorillas are incredibly strong and can be aggressive, they would have to be approached cautiously.
But, to everyone’s delight, the amazing creatures welcomed him back with open arms.
But what about Damian’s wife?
Watch the video to see them meet for the first time … I won’t spoil it, but I’ll say this: It’s a meeting that no one will ever forget!
I think we can confidently say that Ima and Djalta “approved” of Damian’s new wife — so much that they wanted to keep her for themselves!
Many animals can recognize the people that have loved and cared for them.
Some believe that it only applies to pets, like dogs and cats – but this video shows us that the ties can be incredibly strong between wild animals and their caretakers.
