Beyoncé Gifts NFL Fans the Ultimate Christmas Present During Halftime Performance
Beyoncé performed at halftime during the Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens Christmas Day game. Here are all the details behind her return to the stage.
Beyoncé gave football fans something to buzz about on Christmas Day.
While the Houston Texans played the Baltimore Ravens Dec. 25, it was Queen Bey who took center stage during the halftime show at NRG Stadium in Houston. And it was quite the holiday spectacular.
The 43-year-old delivered a show-stopping performance that began with “16 Carriages,” before going into her other songs “Ya Ya,” “Riiverdance,” “Jolene,” and “Texas Hold ‘Em.” It was the first time she performed any songs from Cowboy Carter live.
The Grammy winner was joined for a surprise appearance by Shaboozey, who took the stage with her to perform “Sweet Honey Buckin’,” and Post Malone, who joined her for a performance of their song “Levii’s Jeans.” Country singers Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, Tiera Kennedy and Reyna Roberts also took to the field for a beautiful performance of “Blackbiird.”
But along with her special guests, Bey brought out her daughter Blue Ivy Carter, 12, to join the dozens of fellow cowboys shining on the dance floor with her. Backup dancers dressed in all-white filled the field with their bedazzled sashes, American flags and stunning dance formations.
For her first performance since ending her Renaissance World Tour in 2023, Bey dazzled in a white fur coat, matching cowboy hat, and “Cowboy Carter” sash, later revealing a stunning bedazzled bodysuit underneath. And after her big finale, she teased that a new release may be in our future, posting a video to her Instagram that flashes the date “1.4.25.”
But this isn’t the first time the NFL has been blessed with a performance from the Grammy winner Queen Bey, who has performed at the Super Bowl as a headliner in 2013 and later joined in as a guest of Coldplay in 2016.

Supporting her during her hometown show was her mother, Tina Knowles, husband Jay-Z and their three children, Blue Ivy, 12, and twins Rumi and Sir Carter, 7. Beyonce’s return to the stage comes two weeks after she and Jay supported Blue Ivy during the Los Angeles premiere of Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King—which Bey and their daughter both appear in—on Dec. 9.
The outing showed they remain strong after the “99 Problems” rapper was accused of rape, which he has denied. Jay-Z even mentioned his family in his firm denial, saying, “My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims,” he said, “and explain the cruelty and greed of people.”
And while Beyoncé did not speak about the allegations surrounding her husband, she had nothing but pride for her oldest daughter—who proved ready for the world of entertainment as she joined her mother onstage during the Renaissance World Tour in 2023—while she gushed over her career milestone.

“My gorgeous baby girl. This is your night,” the “Cuff It” singer wrote alongside pictures of Blue Dec. 9. “You worked hard and you did such a beautiful job as the voice of Kiara. Your family could not be prouder. Keep shining.”
