Chelsea Green made history at Saturday Night’s Main Event by becoming the first-ever WWE Women’s United States Champion. Less than 24 hours after winning the title, Green has shared her plans on her first day with the gold.
Green had a tough road to the championship, outlasting Bianca Belair and Blair Davenport in a Triple Threat match in the first round of the Women’s U.S. Title tournament. She then defeated former WWE Women’s Champion Bayley in the semifinals on SmackDown last Friday.
In the tournament final the next night, the Karen of WWE triumphed over Michin to become the inaugural Women’s United States Champion. She slept soundly that night and woke up feeling fantastic, revealing to her followers on X her plans on her first day as champion.
“Woke up as 1st ever @WWE Women’s United States Champion. So what’s first on the agenda? I’m going to @Disneyland!!!!” Green tweeted.

Chelsea Green comments on her Women’s United States Title win
After her historic victory over Michin on Saturday, Chelsea Green was interviewed by Byron Saxton backstage and asked about her thoughts on being the first-ever Women’s United States Champion. Green preached hard work since it took her 10 years to achieve this level of success.
“Well Bryan, I always knew this was gonna happen. So I know you’re surprised and that’s so cute. But I’m not. I’ve been doing this for 10 years. I’ve worked my entire life to be an overnight success and this is my time. This is my night. Red, white, and green. Say it with me!” Green said. [0:37 – 0:54]
Green had some help from Piper Niven during the match, but it was still a well-deserved win for her. She went through Tough Enough, the independent circuit, getting into WWE and then getting released, to being rehired and is now the Women’s United States Champion.
