The WWE Universe witnessed a new side of Sami Zayn when he became the Honorary Uce for The Bloodline. Recently, Kevin Owens got candid about his relationship with Zayn amid The Bloodline drama.

Over the past two years, Sami Zayn has been frequently involved with The Bloodline, whether it’s aiding them or fighting them alongside different superstars. However, Kevin Owens’ stance towards the faction hasn’t changed in the past four years, as he was one of its first targets.

In a video titled WWE Retrospective, the former Universal, NXT, United States, Intercontinental, and Tag Team Champion spoke candidly about Sami Zayn. Regardless of Zayn’s ties with the Samoan faction, Owens spoke highly of him as an athlete.

“Well, me and Sami [Zayn] have known each other since 2002. And, I really say this all the time: he’s really more like a brother than a friend (…) He really is like a brother. And that extended itself to the ring. The chemistry we have in there, for me, is unmatched with him. You can be two great wrestlers, but sometimes there’s no chemistry. I’ve had that with great wrestlers where we have no chemistry; this match sucked. I don’t think Sami Zayn’s ever had that with anyone because he’s the best,” Owens said. (From 09:54 to 10:44)

Kevin Owens could restart his feud with Sami Zayn on WWE SmackDown

Earlier this year, Kevin Owens teamed up with Randy Orton to battle the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline. At WrestleMania 40, Sami Zayn won the Intercontinental Championship from Gunther. Both stars were top babyfaces until Owens turned on Cody Rhodes for assisting Roman Reigns.

Recently, The OG Bloodline, including Sami Zayn, provided backup to The Original Tribal Chief in his war against Solo Sikoa’s faction. Meanwhile, Kevin Owens injured Randy Orton and crossed a few lines while feuding with Rhodes on Friday Night SmackDown.

Earlier this month, The Prizefighter addressed Sami Zayn’s actions and made a statement. In his interview with Michael Cole, the former WWE Universal Champion said he would deal with his long-time friend when the time was right.

“As far as Sami Zayn is concerned, trust me, we’re gonna cross that bridge when we get to it,” said Kevin Owens.

There’s a high chance the two Canadian stars might feud again on the global juggernaut’s programming.
