Kevin Nash Fires Back at Hulk Hogan Critics: “He’s Gone—Show Some Respect or Just Shut the F\*\*\* Up”
Following the passing of WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, wrestling legend Kevin Nash has spoken out forcefully against those who have chosen to criticize Hogan in the wake of his death. On his “Kliq This” podcast, Nash expressed both his shock at the news and his disappointment with the negative commentary directed at his longtime friend.
A Friendship Forged in Wrestling
Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan shared a deep and enduring friendship, one that began during their days together in World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Along with the late Scott Hall, they formed the iconic and controversial New World Order (nWo) faction, leaving a lasting impact on professional wrestling.
Nash’s Emotional Reaction
Nash described his disbelief upon hearing of Hogan’s passing, stating that it didn’t seem real. “They always called him ‘The Immortal’ Hulk Hogan and to me, man, it was just like even when I heard what Bubba was saying, I just knew he’d kick out. I just knew. I knew I’d get on the phone with him.”
He went on to share a personal regret, revealing that he had considered driving two hours to visit Hogan at his home in Florida, hoping to see him one last time. “Two weeks ago, if I’d made the drive out there, if somebody had told me what kind of condition [he was in], I wouldn’t have needed five minutes. After four minutes of putting each other over, I would have just said: ‘I love you.’ Thanks for the rub.”
A Strong Message to Critics
Nash did not hold back when addressing those who have chosen to focus on Hogan’s past controversies, including his use of racist slurs, in the wake of his death. He called for empathy and respect for Hogan’s family and friends during this difficult time.
“For the people who want to go after Hogan for doing this or that. You know what? How about f*** you, man. He’s dead. How about his kids, man? Can you just lay off the man? Ain’t nothing going to change now. Think about his kids. Think about his friends and his family and if you don’t have anything good to say, shut the f*** up,” Nash said.
Defending Hogan’s Legacy
Kevin Nash made it clear that, in his view, the time for criticism has passed. He urged people to consider the feelings of Hogan’s loved ones and to show respect for his memory. Nash’s words reflect not only his loyalty to Hogan but also his belief in the importance of compassion during times of loss.
As the wrestling world mourns the loss of one of its most legendary figures, Nash’s message is a reminder of the deep bonds formed in the industry—and the need for kindness in the face of tragedy.
