Liv Morgan broke character to compliment her WWE rival following her victory last night at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The 30-year-old has held the Women’s World Championship since defeating Becky Lynch at King and Queen of the Ring earlier this year.
Morgan defended her Women’s World Championship against IYO SKY at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The Genius of the Sky looked poised to win the title, but the champion got her knees up during the Damage CTRL star’s Moonsault attempt. Morgan was then able to connect with Oblivion for the pinfall victory to retain her title.
Following the match, WWE praised SKY on Instagram and noted that she killed it at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Liv Morgan reacted to the company’s message and agreed that IYO SKY was impressive during their match last night. However, the champion made sure to note that she did better and was the star who emerged victorious. You can check out the veteran’s response in the image below.
“She killed it but not as much as meeeeeeeeee 😊🥇😜😂,” she wrote.

Liv Morgan had an injury scare at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event
During the title match last night, SKY connected with a knee to Morgan’s face and busted her nose open. According to a report from PW Insider, the RAW star did not suffer a broken nose during her title defense last night and was feeling “okay” following the match.
Dominik Mysterio betrayed Rhea Ripley at WWE SummerSlam earlier this year and aligned with Liv Morgan to help her retain the title. Raquel Rodriguez returned at Bad Blood and caused the Women’s World Championship match between Ripley and Morgan to end via disqualification. It will be interesting to see what the company has planned for Ripley and Morgan following their confrontation at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
