Michael Jordan didn’t hesitate when asked how he’d beat Steph Curry in 1 vs 1 basketball game
The six-time NBA champion is often compared to Curry and once gave his take on the topic.

Michael Jordan has already revealed how he thinks he’d beat Steph Curry in a 1 vs 1 match.
Jordan, 62, is widely regarded as the NBA’s greatest-ever player, with Curry, 37, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James also in the greatest of all time (GOAT) conversation.
The former Chicago Bulls man won six NBA titles during his illustrious career, while Curry boasts four so far.
The duo had very different playing styles, as Jordan possessed physical assets like pace and power, while Curry is best known for his technical ability on the ball.
But who did Jordan mention when asked who he’d rather face out of Curry and James?
“Well, I’d go against Stephen Curry because I’m a little bit bigger than him, so I could back him in,” Jordan told THE TODAY SHOW in 2019.
“But LeBron’s a little bit too big.
“If I was in my prime, could I beat LeBron in a one-on-one game? No question. And he’s going to say no question.
“[Curry] is a great player. Not a Hall of Famer yet, though. He’s not.”
And this was not the first time Jordan made comments that Curry may not have been best pleased with.
Speaking to NBC’s Craig Melvin in 2019 via Complex, six-time NBA champion Jordan said: “He [Steph Curry]’s still a great player. Not a Hall of Famer yet, though.”
The Phoenix Suns star responded by saying: “I think I’m good, but then I’m never complacent,” during an interview for Sole Collector.

“I know I have more to prove to myself. When you hear a guy like that, who’s the greatest of all time, it’s kind of funny.
“Since we’ve been on this stage, we’ve heard a lot of retired guys chiming in on this generation of basketball players and evaluating talent and saying their generation was better and all that.
“It’s a great conversation for the fans to get in on.
“I know I’m in good shape for that, but I still have a lot to prove to myself.”
Curry has since achieved an Olympic gold medal with Team USA at the 2024 games in Paris but is still not a Hall of Famer.
