Michael Jordan gets upset when he gets caught by a magician trying to trick him in a card game
The best basketball player of all time showed how competitive he’s still is
Michael Jordan is arguably the best basketball player in history, with an impressive record that’s second to none and a competitiveness that the NBA has not seen that often after he retired, in 2003.
The Chicago Bulls legend, who went 6-0 in the NBA Finals – never experienced a game 7 in his career – with six MVPs, is well known for always trying to win, on and off the court.
His tireless work ethic, trash-talking on the court, mean streak in golf, dedication to baseball, and love of gambling, makes him a ruthless competitor who will not hesitate to snatch his opponent’s heart if that’s what it takes for him to come on top.
Michael Jordan gets mad at magician
A video online of Michael Jordan getting mad at magician David Blaine – famous illusionist, and endurance performer – resurfaced online. On the images we can see Blaine invites MJ to participate in a card trick during a captivating performance.
As the trick unfolds, Blaine instructed Jordan to shuffle the deck behind his back, intending to conceal the chosen card. However, the basketball legend showed his unwavering determination and competitive spirit by not shuffling and giving the deck back to the illusionist.
But Blaine is a world-class magician and he identified the exact card Jordan chose, exposing Michael’s audacious attempt to outsmart him and making him look bad in front of the people that were witnessing the act. “I didn’t shuffle the card, that’s what he wanted me to do!” Jordan said after getting caught, with an angry tone that showed his dissapointment for getting busted.
Michael Jordan is about to get a massive reality check
Michael Jordan might be facing his biggest off-court challenge yet. Nike’s recent financial troubles could threaten not only the former NBA star’s massive income stream but also the partnership that helped catapult the sportswear giant to fame nearly 40 years ago.
The partnership began in 1984 when Jordan signed his first endorsement deal with Nike. The following year, they launched the original Air Jordan in April 1985, marking the start of one of the most lucrative collaborations in sports history-earning Jordan a staggering $260 million in 2024 alone.
But this golden era might soon face turbulence. Nike is currently grappling with a financial slump, with declining revenues that could potentially impact the six-time NBA champion’s substantial royalty earnings.
