NBA Legend Shaquille O’Neal Picks Surprising Winner of Pacers vs Knicks Eastern Conference Final Series
NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has predicted the name of the player who according to him will win the NBA Finals MVP, indirectly he has named the winner of the Eastern Conference Final.

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal recently posted a snippet of “The Big Podcast with Shaq” alongside his co-host Adam Lefkoe. In the clip, the two could be seen discussing who could go on to win the NBA Finals MVP. While explaining his prediction for Finals MVP, O’Neal virtually picked his winner of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Shaquille O’Neal Indirectly Predicts the Winner of Eastern Conference Final
Both conference finals are currently underway. In the West, the Oklahoma City Thunder have taken a taken 3-1 lead over Minnesota Timberwolves, whereas, the Indiana Pacers have a 2-1 advantage over the New York Knicks in the ECF.
The Thunder may progress to the final, as overturning a 3-1 trail is unprecedented and unlikely. The Pacers on the other end have the lead but the momentum shifted towards the Knicks following their win in Game 3. Shaq believes New York will ride on the momentum and will emerge victorious in the series. He did not say that directly but him predicting Karl Anthony Towns to win the NBA Finals MVP, makes it clear that he sees the New York Knicks getting the better of the Pacers.
“Who do I got winning this Finals MVP?” O’Neal said. “I’m going to go with, and go New York, go New York go. Go the Kat man. Meow.”
Before squaring off against the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals, the New York Knicks defeated the Detroit Pistons and the Boston Celtics in the playoff rounds.
They took down the Pistons 4-2 in the first round of the playoffs and followed that with a 4-2 series win over the Celtics in the second round.
If the Knicks somehow overturn the tie and beat the Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals, they would face the winner of a matchup between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals.
