Paris Hilton Says 2-Year-Old Son Phoenix Wants to Be a Firefighter After Losing Malibu Home

After Paris Hilton’s $8.4 million home—which she shared with kids Phoenix and London as well as husband Carter Reum—was lost due to the Los Angeles wildfires, she detailed her son’s newfound interest.

Paris Hilton is sharing her son Phoenix’s new aspiration.

After The Simple Life star—who shares 2-year-old Phoenix and London, 14 months with husband Carter Reum—lost her $8.4 million Malibu home in the Los Angeles fires, she detailed what he wants to be when he grows up.

In a video interview with TMZ, while holding her son during an outing in Los Angeles, the 43-year-old explained, “He said he wants to be a fireman.”

As Paris was interviewed alongside her son—who adorably wore a hat adorned with ‘Big Bro’ on the front—she also shared more condolences with other residents who have lost their homes.

“I’m just heartbroken for everyone who’s lost everything,” Paris continued. “Families with children, animals. It’s just been heartbreaking to see what’s happened to California.”

And while Phoenix’s career aspirations were inspired by the tragedy, the family is also doing what they can to support the community amid the turbulent time. In fact, Paris gave insight into fostering a pet, Zuzu, that was displaced by the Altadena fires.

“Zuzu, his family had to surrender him because they lost their home,” Paris explained. “I was fostering him this past week and we’ve just all fallen in love with him. We’re gonna adopt him.”

Since Paris previously shared that her home burned down, she has continued to spread positive messages and support to her followers. Earlier this week, she shared an adorable video of her son sleeping.

“Some sleepy Pheeny and puppy footage for your feed,” Paris gushed in a Jan. 19 Instagram post. “Through everything that’s going on around us, sometimes we need an adorable reminder to take a mindful moment for ourselves.”

Paris also emphasized that while she lost the place where her “love and life filled every corner,” she is far from the only person who has been impacted. After all, the Los Angeles wildfires broke out Jan. 7, and devastated over 40,000 acres of land as well as over 10,000 homes.

“This isn’t just my story,” Paris wrote in a Jan. 9 Instagram post. “So many people have lost everything. It’s not just walls and roofs—it’s the memories that made those houses homes. It’s the photos, the keepsakes, the irreplaceable pieces of our lives.”
