‘This is hard’ – Kylie Kelce bleeds green and gets brutally honest about Travis Kelce playing Philadelphia Eagles
When the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs kick off Super Bowl LIX, spare a thought for Kylie Kelce.
She grew up rooting for the Birds, and her husband, Jason Kelce, spent his entire career as the center for the team.

But her brother-in-law, Travis Kelce, plays for the Kansas City Chiefs.
In years gone by, Kylie’s decision was far more simple.
She would root for her husband’s team, even if they were playing against her brother-in-law.
But now Jason is retired, it’s just her favorite team versus her family.
And that has led to many asking who Kylie will be cheering on in this year’s Super Bowl.
Speaking on her podcast Not Gonna Lie, the Philadelphia native gave listeners the scoop ahead of the big game.
“It’s time to get honest about the Birds,” Kylie began, acknowledging ‘the elephant in the room’.
“This time when the Eagles play the Chiefs, it’s a little bit different because my husband is retired.
“That being said, I am so happy and proud of Travis and the Chiefs’ accomplishments.
“I think that the opportunity to play for such a historic milestone is incredible to be able to potentially witness.

“Travis has been there for his entire career. He has worked so hard and put in so much time that I am truly, as always, cheering Travis on. And I love him.
“He’s my family, so I will always cheer on Travis’s accomplishments and hopefully successes.”
However, Kelce went on to explain that her Philadelphia roots run deep, and that she will also be cheering for the success of those associated with the Eagles.
“I was raised to bleed green,” she continued.
“I have friends who are still associated with the team.
“I have a close relationship with a lot of people in the Eagles organization. I get to live in the Philadelphia community and will also be cheering for the success of those people.”
Kelce concluded her podcast by diplomatically suggesting she will be going to the Super Bowl to just ‘cheer’.
While Kylie herself feels conflicted, she revealed that her young daughters will be cheering on Travis during the game.
“We have made moves to get the girls ‘Go Uncle Trav!’ shirts, because they love their uncle,” she said.
“And of course, they love cheering him on. To be fair, they love cheering on the Birds too, but he is our family.”
With her loyalties split, Kylie is in a rare ‘win, win’ situation.
She will be happy if Travis and the Chiefs make three-peat history, or if the Eagles win their second Super Bowl championship.
