Travis Kelce jumps at the opportunity to roast brother Jason Kelce when asked about how the Eagles have changed since Super Bowl LVII

Feb 3, 2025; New Orleans, LA, USA; Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (87) during Super Bowl LIX Opening Night at Ceasars Superdome.

Travis Kelce couldn’t help himself.

In the same conversation that he shared some very heartfelt sentiments about his older brother Jason Kelce, he also managed to roast him.

And it happened during Super Bowl LIX opening night, when a reporter asked the Kansas City Chiefs tight end what’s different about this Eagles team from last year.

And he didn’t hesitate.

“They’re a lot bigger upfront,” he stated. “They don’t have that really small center.”

Jason is one of the best centers in NFL history, and the same can be said for Travis at the tight end position. They will celebrate each other at every moment, but also aren’t afraid to poke fun when needed.

Travis saw an opening and took it.

Jason and Travis Kelce love to poke fun at each other whenever they can. But when it comes down to it, the love between the two brothers is clear to everyone.

Two years ago, when the Chiefs and Eagles met in the Super Bowl, it also meant Travis and Jason were going up against one another.

And now as the two teams will compete against one another again, Travis will be on the field, but the former Eagles center will be missing in action.

And Travis shared some very heartfelt words about this during Super Bowl LIX opening night.

“Of course I wish Jason was out there. Being at the mountaintop with your brother is something special that I’ll never forget. Obviously, being so close to him retiring, I wish he would have played another year,” Kelce said.

“But he’s very content where he is in life right now, and I’m happy as hell from him. He gets to be around his family and his baby girls a little bit more.”

Jason called it quits following the 2023-24 season, but if he had played only one more year, it would have been the second Kelce Bowl.

However, Jason is in full media mode this season and has embraced the role wholeheartedly. Plus, he’s clearly a natural.

But, it’s expected that he will be at the game on Sunday night to cheer on his brother, while also showing support for his former team.

So, for Travis, he is going to do his best to make Jason and the rest of the Kelce clan proud.

“I’ll go out there and try to represent the family as best as I can.”
