Travis on the Super Bowl Loss, Jason on Mixed Emotions and Who’s Going Over a Cliff?

Travis Kelce Praised for What He Said on ‘New Heights’ Podcast After Super Bowl Loss

Despite losing in the Super Bowl just days ago, the show must go on. On Wednesday, the latest episode of the “New Heights” podcast with Jason and Travis Kelce was released, where they broke down the game, discussed what went wrong, and explored where Travis’ head is at as he enters the offseason with many questions surrounding the future of his career.

From the very beginning, Travis handled the situation with the utmost class, especially when Jason gave him space to open up about what happened in the game. After taking the brunt of the blame, Travis praised his teammates, his family, and the Eagles’ performance.

“Outside of the game, I just want to thank my teammates for everything they [explicit] do, man,” Kelce said. “I’m kicking myself for some of the tiny, tiny decisions I made on the field… I wasn’t the best leader I could’ve been, and I put a lot of that on myself as the guy who’s been in the building for 12 years. It’s a tough pill to swallow, man. I love my teammates, I love my coaches, and Chiefs Kingdom, I’m sorry for how it ended. But I have a beautiful life, I have loved ones, and I have the most amazing family in the world that supports me in everything I do. I just have to tip my cap to the Eagles.”

His heartfelt response earned him a lot of love from fans watching the premier of the episode.

“Trav you are amazing!!! Y’all did great.. you are right it just wasn’t your teams day” A fan said.

“It’s a team effort. not a one man show.” Another fan posted.

“You’re such a gentleman Travis.” A fan added.

“We Love your dedication Travis” Another fan said.

One more fan commented, “Travis what a way to take ownership. You are a true Man to look up to for any boy out there playing sports!”

The Chiefs lost 40-22 and never seemed to find any momentum or rhythm throughout the game. They trailed 24-0 at halftime and were down 34-0 at one point in the second half.

Offensively, no one could get things going, and Kelce finished with just four receptions for 39 yards. The Eagles secured their second Super Bowl title in franchise history, while the Chiefs fell short of making NFL history with their attempt at a three-peat.
