WWE fans have not seen Alexa Bliss since the 2023 Royal Rumble, but she has assured them that she will be back. 

Since she appeared on the scene in WWE, Alexa Bliss has been one of the most popular wrestlers within WWE. She is an incredibly accomplished competitor, having held numerous championships in WWE on both RAW and SmackDown. She has also featured in some of the most prominent storylines in recent history, notably being aligned with the late Bray Wyatt. However, Bliss has not been seen in the WWE since early 2023. Her absence has been due to a couple of different reasons. However, she has assured fans that they will without a doubt get to see her step back into a WWE ring in the future.

Her Last Match Was At The 2023 Royal Rumble

Bliss lasted wrestled over a year ago at the 2023 Royal Rumble.
She battled Bianca Belair for the RAW Women’s Title.
Bliss was unsuccessful in winning the match.

Bliss’ last match took place at the 2023 Royal Rumble event, when she faced Bianca Belair for the RAW Women’s Championship on January 28th. Since then, she has not been featured on WWE television. Later in the year, Bliss announced that she was pregnant and expecting her first child with her husband, Ryan Cabrera.

Speaking with The Messenger, Bliss actually found out that she was pregnant while, when preparing for an in-ring return, she felt cramps. After taking a test, she found out that she was pregnant. For Bliss, she said that the timing was perfect.

“ WWE gave me time off for [Masked Singer] to kind of fully dive into that experience with rehearsals, vocal lessons, and all that stuff. Storyline-wise, I was not on TV anyway, so it really kind of worked out perfectly .”

She Performed A LeAnn Rimes Song

Bliss appeared on the season 9, episode 6 edition of The Masked Singer.
She performed a song by LeAnn Rimes.
The episode also feautred Holly Robinson Peete.

As she also mentioned, Bliss made an appearance on FOX’s The Masked Singer. She was seen on the sixth episode of season 9 of the show. Dressed as an axolotl, she performed “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” by LeAnn Rimes. Talking to TV Insider, she said,

“ So this was one of those things where it used to be something that was so fun and I don’t know why, but my anxiety just got me. I wanted to do this to finally face my fear of singing in front of people because it was something I used to love to do in the shower, obviously, but I wanted to face my fear and prove to myself that I can do it and get over that hurdle .” She also said, “ I thought it would be an amazing opportunity. I’ve watched the show. I’ve had friends on the show. And it just looks like something that would be so fun to do. WWE was awesome in pitching me for the show .”

She Plans To Return After Her Child Is Born

Bliss had dealt with a health scare due to tanning bed use.
WWE extended Bliss’ contract.
She plans to train again to make an eventual in-ring return.

Prior to her pregnancy, Bliss had to deal with a health scare related to skin cancer that was a result of the use of tanning beds. Thankfully, Bliss stated that the procedure to get rid of it was simple and taken care of in March. In an Instagram story post (h/t People), she wrote,

“ Dear younger me, You should have stayed out of tanning beds .” In another comment, she said, “ During my procedure doc also found other squamous cells. Was a quick and easy procedure. Glad I always get my skin checked .”

In that People interview, Bliss also said that she fully intends to make a return to WWE once her child is born. She said,

“ [WWE] extended my contract, and so it’s just basically come back when I’m ready. Probably a month after the baby, I’ll start probably getting back into the gym, and getting ready for to see what my in-ring return looks like .”

She is a three-time RAW Women’s Champion, a two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion, a three-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, and former Women’s Money In The Bank Winner. In addition, she has also put on tremendous matches with Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Sasha Banks (now known as Mercedes Moné), and many more.

With such a great list of accomplishments, there will almost certainly be more chances for Bliss to do more once she returns to the WWE ring. Bliss has been one of the most significant names in the company of the last decade. When she is back, there is no doubt that she will pick up from where she left off and continue to pursue becoming a champion once again.
