A shocking and brutal murder has shaken the University of Southern California community to its core. A 22-year-old student, described as bright, beautiful, and full of promise, was found dead in a pool of blood inside a fraternity row residence. The details are almost too gruesome to believe: she was forced out of bed naked, made to kneel at the feet of her killer, and executed at point-blank range.

The victim, identified as Logan Federico, had recently decided to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher. That dream ended violently on the morning of May 3rd, when accused killer Alexander Devonte Dicki—an ex-convict with an astonishing 39 prior arrests and 25 felony charges—allegedly stormed into her room with a shotgun.

According to her father, Mr. Federico, his daughter wasn’t murdered in her sleep, but subjected to a cruel, calculated execution. “He made her get on her knees naked, with her hands raised, put the shotgun under her rib cage, and pulled the trigger,” he said through tears and anger. “This wasn’t a random act. This was premeditated.”

The grieving father has now become the loudest voice demanding accountability—not just from the accused killer, but from the entire system that allowed him to remain free. Despite a lengthy rap sheet that should have put him behind bars for over 140 years, Dicki had only spent about 600 days in prison across a decade of crime. “He was committing crimes every year since he was 15,” Federico said. “But the courts, the judges, the prosecutors—all of them kept letting him out. They gave him access to my daughter, and that’s why she’s dead.”

The outrage doesn’t stop with the criminal justice system. Federico blames local officials, fraternity members, and even gun owners who allowed a violent repeat offender to obtain a weapon. “They have blood on their hands. They didn’t pull the trigger, but they gave him the opportunity. This was avoidable. My daughter didn’t have to die.”

Even more shocking, the district attorney handling the case reportedly does not believe in the death penalty. Federico calls that decision “pathetic” and vows to fight until his last breath to make sure his daughter’s killer faces the harshest punishment possible. “He deserves the death penalty,” he said. “This was an execution. He cannot be rehabilitated. How many more innocent children need to die before the system wakes up?”

Adding insult to tragedy, Federico claims it took hours before anyone in the house realized Logan was dead, while her killer went on a shopping spree with her debit card. Police quickly identified him from surveillance video—no surprise, given his long criminal record.

Now, Federico has turned his pain into a mission. “You woke up a beast,” he warned. “I will not be quiet. Logan’s story will be heard, and I will fight for justice for every child taken by monsters like him.”

As the community reels, one question haunts the campus: how could a man with 39 arrests still be free to execute a young woman in her prime?

Logan Federico’s name will not be forgotten. Her father promises it. And until justice is served, he will not stop.
