Conspiracy theory says that Angel Reese thinks that she is in her current position because she is replacing Kobe Bryant’s deceased daughter, not because of her own ability.
Kobe and Gianna Bryant, along with seven others, tragically died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, on January 26, 2020
It was easily the most shocking thing that happened that year, and it is just as unbelievable now as it was when the news came out.
The crash resulted in the deaths of all nine people on board, including Kobe and Gianna, as well as other members of Gianna’s basketball team and their coaches.
It has now been over five years since that helicopter crashed into a hillside after flying in heavy fog conditions.
Fast-forward to May 2025, and we have a conspiracy theorist who truly believes that Gianna Bryant and Angel Reese are the same person.
“Fittest Flat Earther” on YouTube is making this connection in his latest video. He points to Gianna being referred to as an angel in many pictures after her death. He then recalls a moment when Reese held the Larry O’Brien trophy and states that it reminded her of Kobe.
He also added videos of Reese being close with Shaq and how she calls him “Uncle Shaq,” something Gianna used to say as well.
He also revealed that Shaquille is a Freemason, and he is posing with his Freemason ring.
Flat Earther would show side-by-side pictures of Angel Reese and Ganna, who had the same eyebrows, game face, faces lining up symmetrically, similar markings on their faces, and so much more.
“These people make me absolutely sick. How anyone could be devilish enough to pull off something like this is mind-boggling,” one person said.
“It’s actually time to stop giving all these idiots so much attention. Seriously. Sports, acting, all these things were once looked upon as lowly entertainment like clowns,” a second person stated.
“You, sir, have definitely been gifted a very special skill set. To see and decipher what most others just simply can not. Once again, I’m backing another one of your videos. Keep piling all this evidence up your building the most important case of your life and the people need you right now!!! I’m praying that you prosper from these videos in order to keep spreading your beacon of light and truth,” a believer stated of his Angel Reese-Gianna Bryant video.
“Now it all makes perfect sense why the WNBA had her under contract for so long claiming she was a great player when she clearly sucked,” one final person wrote.
