Poisoned While Protecting Her Puppies, Luna the Dog Found a New Life—and a New Home
Meet Luna, a brave mother who faced unthinkable cruelty. After giving birth to six puppies under a parked car, someone slipped poison into her food.
Weakened and trembling, she lay beneath the vehicle, her eyes scanning desperately for her babies.
A kind man spotted her and quickly called for help. When we arrived, Luna was barely breathing, but she lifted her head—pleading with us, not for herself, but for her pups.
The vet rushed to give her an emergency injection to counter the poison. Though scared and exhausted, Luna clung to her role as a mother, never straying far from her newborns.

By day 13, her puppies were active and beginning to explore the world.
Luna even adopted two orphaned puppies, nursing and nurturing them as if they were her own. Her kindness knew no bounds.
After a month, her puppies were healthy and ready for adoption. Two months later, Luna herself was prepped for a new chapter—heading to Los Angeles.
Vaccinated and strong, she left with a gentle goodbye and a hopeful heart.
Her story is a powerful reminder of a mother’s strength and a survivor’s spirit. Luna was left to die, but love, care, and her will to protect gave her a second chance—and a forever home.
