General Hospital’s Jason and Britt Are Finally Set to Reunite — But Doing So Will Have Big, Dangerous Consequences!

General Hospital viewers have been watching and waiting — patiently — not only to find out who is holding Britt at the fancy schmancy Five Poppies Resort (could it be a blast from the past?) but for her and Jason to come face to face. Sure, Jason got his first glimpse at his former lover at the airport but he’s been struggling with what to do with the back-from-the-dead sighting.

Yesterday, in the August 5 episode, Jason appeared to have made a decision after having a chat with Sonny, who reminded him that even if Britt did survive “The Hook,” it was no secret that she hadn’t wanted anyone to watch her die — that’s why she had been planning to leave Port Charles in the first place. Though Jason planned to respect Britt’s decision, and leave her “dead,” Sonny couldn’t help but wonder how Britt would feel knowing that Jason had come back from the dead too…

As viewers well know, in soaps, not everyone stays dead and Jason and Britt fans are going to get the reunion they’ve been waiting for. Soap Opera Digest talked to the ABC soap’s headwriters, Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte, who previewed what’s ahead – and how Jason’s actions going forth will impact others. Another tidbit to note from yesterday’s episode… Anna had an ah-ha moment after learning that the logo Jason saw on Britt’s bag was from a resort in Dalmatia — and she could very well be the “third party” who urges Jason to seek Britt out.

However, as the headwriters teased, “What Jason doesn’t know is that confronting Britt may put other people in danger — one person, in particular, who is very close to him.”
