Moment Ben Shapiro TOTALLY GOES OFF On Ilhan Omar On LIVE TV Over Her INSENSTIVE Past STATEMENTS.

📌 Shapiro’s Argument: Downplaying and Hypocrisy

Ben Shapiro’s argument, as presented in the clip, focused on three key areas of criticism against Omar: her past statements, her general attitude towards terrorism, and the perceived “double standard” from the Democratic Party.

1. Omar’s Past Statements on Terrorism

Shapiro and the host highlighted several instances that, in their view, demonstrated Omar’s lack of seriousness regarding terrorism:

2013 Al-Qaeda Comment: Omar described taking a college class on terrorism where the professor would over-emphasize the name “Al-Qaeda” with a specific tone and intensity, noting that Americans don’t say “America” with the same intensity. The criticism was that this showed a failure to acknowledge the severity of the threat Al-Qaeda posed.

2016 ISIS Leniency Letter: Omar wrote a letter to a federal judge seeking a more lenient sentence for a Minneapolis man convicted of plotting to join ISIS. She argued for a “restorative approach to justice,” suggesting the men were victims of American marginalization that led them to violence.

2017 Time Magazine Column: Omar suggested that America’s focus on “international terror” was a distraction intended to avoid facing its own history rooted in slavery and genocide.

2. The Incitement Allegation and Double Standard

Following President Trump’s tweet of Omar’s “some people did something” quote spliced with 9/11 footage, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats accused the President of inciting violence against Omar, who had received a spike in death threats.

Shapiro dismissed this accusation, arguing that quoting her own words was accountability, not incitement. He then used this to highlight a perceived double standard, pointing out that:

The Democratic party often defends Omar when she makes anti-Semitic statements.

It is hypocritical to claim that criticism of Omar is “violent incitement” while arguing that her own controversial and offensive statements (which he characterized as “Jew-hating”) are not incitement.

In Shapiro’s view, the Democratic Party was using the charge of “incitement” solely as a political tactic to defend Omar from negative press and avoid addressing the substance of her remarks.
