7-Year-Old Makes History, First Black Girl to Win Tiny Miss Princess of America Pageant
Nationwide — Meet Paris Epps, a 7-year-old African American girl from Tulsa, Oklahoma, who made history by becoming the first Black girl to win the national title of Tiny Miss Princess of America. What’s more, she has recently made her runway debut in New York Fashion Week
Paris, the daughter of Dr. Shavonda Pannell and Willis Epps, comes from a remarkable family lineage, including being the great-granddaughter of the esteemed “King Arthur” Pannell, a pioneering entrepreneur and mentor, according to
In 2023, Paris competed against girls across the country and won the national crown. She also won divisional titles for Casual Wear and Active Wear and scored second runner-up for Photogenic.
Her outstanding performance earned her additional accolades, including being a Top 10 Superstar finalist and winning categories such as Best Interview, Best Smile, and Miss Personality.
Paris’ prizes include a custom crown, banner, crystal award, cash scholarship, and travel opportunities, such as a Caribbean cruise. Her reign involves representing the Princess of America organization, advocating her platform, “Paris to the Rescue,” aimed at raising awareness and promoting adoption for rescue animals.
Most recently, Paris got to model in New York Fashion Week for the brand Ava Presley as part of the prize package she won in the Tiny Miss Princess of America pageant.
