The online discussion surrounding Travis Hunter and his girlfriend, Leanna Lenee, has drawn in WNBA star Angel Reese.
Hunter and Lenee have been the subject of much online chatter following several incidents, most notably when Deion Sanders had to prompt Lenee to stand up after Hunter was announced as the Heisman Trophy winner on Saturday night. This and other incidents have led many on social media, including comedian Godfrey, to advise Hunter to end the relationship.
Responding to a user who suggested she was taking Travis Hunter’s side, Reese clarified, “I don’t know that boy at all. I’m just supporting another athlete but why do yall care so much? AGAIN, they are happy. Yall wanna be internet relationship experts so bad. This is why we want to keep things private cause yall always gonna try to find SOMETHING.”
Despite Reese’s support, Travis Hunter and Leanna Lenee will likely remain a topic of online discussion. Ultimately, as long as they are happy together, the social media commentary remains just that – commentary.

Chicago Sky star forward Angel Reese is set to compete in the inaugural season of the Unrivaled league on Jan. 17 in Miami, Florida. She’s back in the gym this offseason after her rookie campaign was cut short by a wrist injury. Her most recent workout video featured strength training.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Reese was doing squats in the gym. She was seen lifting a big barbell to improve her lower body strength. Unrivaled is a 3-on-3 league, so it will heavily feature low post plays.
One of the criticisms of Reese’s game has been her finishing around the rim, something that has been thrown at her since college. Her time at Unrivaled should help hone her skills down low, given that the league features some of the best talents in the WNBA.
Here’s the video of Angel Reese’s workout:
Angel Reese was drafted by Rose BC, coached by LA Sparks assistant Nola Henry. Reese is set to play with Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever teammate Lexi Hull, former WNBA Finals MVP Chelsea Gray, defensive player Brittney Sykes, Phoenix Mercury star Kahleah Copper and Sparks forward Azura Stevens.
Speaking on Lonzo Ball’s “What An Experience” podcast last week, Reese revealed that she’s earning six figures from Unrivaled. She also confirmed her move to Miami this offseason and is enjoying her time in South Beach.
“I’m making six figures, I’m living in Miami during my offseason,” Reese said, according to Marca. “I’m playing 34 of some of the best WNBA players, being able to get better.
“Some of the best coaches, we got T-Spoon, we got Phil, we’ve got a lot of great coaches there. I’m excited to really dial in and get better. Obviously the games are going to be cool and fun, but I just want to learn from the vets and stuff.”
Unrivaled will feature six teams with six players each. There have been 33 players announced, with three more to get added soon. Kelsey Plum was supposed to participate but pulled out to spend more time with herself this offseason.
Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are not “best friends”

The biggest rivalry in the WNBA last season was between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. It was one of the reasons why the league’s popularity skyrocketed.
While toxic members of each fanbase had a lot of bad things to say, Clark told TIME Magazine that there’s no real animosity between her and Reese.
“We’re not best friends, by any means, but we’re very respectful of one another,” Clark said. “Yes, we have had tremendous battles. But when have I ever guarded her? And when has she guarded me?”
