Black People FURIOUS that Black National Anthem was played at Ravens vs Chiefs game! NFL gets COOKED

Black National Anthem Sparks Outrage During Chiefs-Ravens GamE

Before the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs clashed on Thursday night, the crowd at Arrowhead Stadium listened to Tasha Cobbs perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”

“Lift Every Voice and Sing” has been referred to as the Black national anthem for many years now.

While people didn’t seem to have an issue with Cobbs’ performance, there was a lot of outrage on social media. In fact, some fans even threatened to boycott the NFL for playing the “Black national anthem” during the season opener.

For what it’s worth though, the NFL has been playing the “Black national anthem” before every Week 1 game for a few seasons now.

Of course, that didn’t stop people from firing off angry tweets.

“There’s only 1 National Anthem in this country,” one person wrote on X.

Another person tweeted, “There is no black national anthem. There is no white national anthem. There is only ONE national anthem.”

“Why don’t just have one anthem,” a third person said. “We are all Americans.”

“I made a point to sit for it,” a social media user claimed. “I stand for one anthem and one anthem only.”

It’s unfortunate that fans can’t just listen to the “Black national anthem” without getting in their feelings.

That being said, it’s unlikely this leads to people boycotting the NFL. The ratings are always extremely high regardless of what people claim on social media.
