“Doesn’t matter” – Taylor Swift fans commend Travis Kelce’s wedding planning tips, as he asserts that grooms shouldn’t feel the need to have control over everything
Taylor Swift fans are applauding Travis Kelce for stating that grooms “don’t matter” when it comes to weddings.
Travis Kelce is receiving praise for asserting that brides should have complete control over wedding arrangements.
The athlete and his brother, Jason Kelce, talked about the planning process in a Zola advertisement during Wednesday’s episode of “New Heights.”
The Kansas City Chiefs player emphasized that grooms “don’t matter.”
Travis added, “No one… currently understands that pressure better than our very own [podcast staff member] Jets Jake.”
The former Eagles player mentioned that Jake is a month away from his wedding and needs Zola to “guide” him through “every aspect of the wedding planning process, from finding a venue to setting up the registry.”
“None of your decisions should be made by you,” Travis told Jake, who is preparing for his wedding.
“Just keep asking her what she wants,” he advised.
Jake then confessed that his fiancée was handling all the preparations for their upcoming ceremony.
“I’m proud of you. Because you don’t matter, Jake,” Travis joked. “You don’t matter, and none of your decisions should be yours.”
Jake claimed he had “some” input — to which the Kansas City Chiefs player, 34, suggested that his opinions should only be “reassuring.”
Swifties praised the Kansas City Chiefs star for his insightful advice.
Others speculated that the Zola ad was a playful jab at Taylor Swift’s fans.
The tight end advised, “Just keep asking her what she wants.”
The brothers then encouraged their listeners not to follow Jake’s example and to use Zola for wedding planning instead.
Fans were quick to commend Travis’ wisdom amid his blossoming relationship with Swift.
“For someone who isn’t married and probably hasn’t been involved in much wedding planning, Travis sure knows a lot about it. It’s like he’s speaking from experience,” one person wrote on X, hinting that Travis and the pop star might be secretly planning their own wedding.
“New Heights, accepting a wedding planner as a sponsor? You guys have lost your minds,” another Swiftie commented.
“Also, that delivery deserves jail time because that would’ve been the most twisted way to drop a bombshell. You absolute psychos,” the social media user continued.
“The title… really is the icing on the cake,” another added, referring to the episode name “New Ring.” “I’ve never heard a non-engaged man know so much about being engaged….”
Many listeners agreed that Travis was playfully teasing the public regarding engagement rumors.
“They’re just trying to mess with everyone since the world is obsessed with them getting engaged or married! A+ troll job,” one netizen suggested, with another calling the siblings “high-level elite” trolls.
Swift and Travis began dating in July 2023, and two months later, they made their relationship public.
In January, Page Six reported that sources indicated Kelce intended to propose to the Grammy-winning musician this summer, coinciding with their one-year anniversary.
